Jacking enterprises need to vigorously develop their core competencies.
At this stage, the jack industry faces intense competition; however, most jack manufacturers have moved beyond the price-war mentality and are now focusing on higher-end, technology-driven competition. As a result, companies like those producing jacks are increasingly prioritizing the development of their core competencies, which has become the key to achieving stable and sustainable growth. Hailing Hydraulic believes that a jack manufacturer's core competitiveness—essential for long-term, steady development—consists of four key elements: First, strengthening the ability to lead or even create markets by continuously launching innovative products, guiding customers toward adopting new equipment, and ultimately gaining pricing power over their offerings. Additionally, meeting the diverse application needs of jack consumers is crucial for maintaining relevance and driving demand.

Precautions for Using Casing Jacks Before Pre-stressing Equipment
Since conventional cartridge jacks are typically used under high-pressure, heavy-tonnage conditions, safety must be prioritized. Below, the manufacturer of prestressed tensioning jacks shares key precautions to keep in mind when using these tools: 1. Never disassemble a jack while it’s still pressurized. When testing or loading the jack, personnel should stand safely to the sides—absolutely no one should position themselves directly in front of the jack’s end face. Additionally, protective barriers should be installed in hazardous areas to prevent accidents. 2. Anyone entering the jack operation area must follow the rule: "As soon as the oil pump activates, clear both ends of the jack immediately." This ensures safety by preventing injuries from slippage during tensioning and minimizes the risk of parts flying out due to misoperation.
How a Through-Type Jack Works
A through-type jack is a dual-action jack that uses two hydraulic cylinders—one for tensioning the prestressing tendons and the other for pressing against the anchorage device. This type of jack is ideal for tensioning systems with a central core. Here’s how it works: When tensioning the prestressing tendon, oil flows into the tension cylinder’s port while the pressure cylinder’s port returns oil. As a result, the pressure cylinder, connecting sleeve, and support sleeve move together to the right, firmly pressing against the anchor ring. Meanwhile, the tension cylinder, along with the end cap nut, plug, and through-type sleeve, moves as a single unit to the left, pulling the tool anchor and thereby tensioning the prestressing tendon. During the anchoring phase, while maintaining consistent tension force, oil is introduced into the pressure cylinder’s port. The pressure piston, protective sleeve, and pressure head then move together to the right, forcefully driving the wedge-shaped clamping mechanism deep into the anchor ring. At this point, the tensioning process is securely locked in place.
The Impact of Reduced Pre-stressed Anchor Dimensions on Anchor Quality
In recent years, due to the impact of low-bid winning practices, anchorages have seen their prices decline annually—despite the continuous rise in steel costs. This has left manufacturers with no profit margin, and unfortunately, relevant authorities have yet to implement effective regulatory measures to protect them. As a result, many companies are resorting to cutting corners by reducing material quality. Currently, numerous manufacturers have already shortened the wedge length to 38–40 mm, while also decreasing the thickness, diameter, and hole spacing of the anchorages. Such cost-cutting measures inevitably compromise the overall quality of the products. Yet, every geometric dimension of the anchorage has been meticulously calculated and rigorously tested through countless trials—meaning these dimensions cannot be altered arbitrarily. Otherwise, the stable anchoring performance of the anchorage could be severely compromised. Moreover, both domestic and international experts have discovered that the high-strength steel strands used in the wedges play a critical role in ensuring the long-term reliability and safety of the system.

Yuqiao Prestressed Intelligent Control Tensioning System
Our company has introduced a prestressed intelligent control tensioning system and a large-cycle grouting system, enabling digital, automated control of both the prestressing tensioning and grouting processes. This ensures precise, meticulous construction of prestressed elements. Additionally, we actively conduct real-time monitoring and process-based acceptance checks during bridge prestressing work—crucial steps to maintain the intended level of prestress in the bridge structure, prevent cracking and excessive deflection in prestressed bridges, and ultimately guarantee optimal driving comfort, as well as the long-term safety and durability of the bridge.
